Yoga Retreat in the Annapurna Sanctuary (ABC)
April 1-11, 2024
YOUR NEPAL YOGA RETREAT AWAITS
Yoga Inbody and Inbody Expeditions have teamed up to bring you the experience of a lifetime...a Yoga Inbody Expedition. This 11-day vacation gives you the perfect combination of what you have always wanted; the opportunity to trek in Nepal, the chance to see the Himalayas in person and the bonus of yoga along the way.
Our 9 day trekking itinerary is the perfect combination of trail time, relaxation time and yoga time. Beginning around 5,000 feet along the banks of the Modi Khola (River) we traverse steep canyon walls and hike through lush forest vegetation. Our yoga breaks on the trail are coincided perfectly with many of the majestic stunning viewpoints of the giant Himalayan peaks that lay just around the corner.
Climbing out of the river canyon and into the picturesque Annapurna Sanctuary is a moment no one will ever forget. Separating ourselves from the crowds we not only get to experience the Sanctuary, we get to practice yoga in the center of it at a time when not many others are around.
Returning back down the canyon we came from our hearts feel lighter than they have ever felt before. An extra bonus day in the lakeside town of Pokhara is the icing on the cake. This relaxing "spa-day" is the perfect way to pamper yourself at the end of an epic yoga journey.
This trip is sure to send you back home floating in your front door feeling accomplished, light and joyous...all in less than 2 weeks.

At Inbody Expeditions we have always looked to build strong partnerships believing that as an energy collective we can support each-other and go so much further together than we could as individuals. As expedition teammates, whitewater paddling companions, and partners on their journey's through life it was only a matter of time until Jon and Elizabeth came together in business to create a world-class masterpiece.
Jon first traveled to Nepal in 2010 after graduating from college. Originally drawn to the country for its world famous mountains and rivers he quickly fell in love with the nation and its people. Through exploring Nepal on foot via the trails and on rafts via the rivers he solidified his belief that this truly is one of the most magical places on earth. Knowing this country was too incredible not to experience, Jon developed a guiding business focused on taking people places they have always wanted to go but never felt they could...his favorite destination, Nepal.
Elizabeth began studying Yoga and energy in 2012 and created Yoga Inbody to share her knowledge to all those willing and wanting to receive it. Having studied extensively in the US and South America she always had a strong desire to connect to some of the oldest Yoga lineages on the planet. Her first experience in Nepal was love at first sight. So many of the philosophies and practices she studies and teaches are found here...not in a temple or on a mat, but in everyday life. Her dream is to expose people to how life is lived here and show everyone that you can incorporate these ideas of compassion, unconditional love and happiness, and gratitude into your everyday life.
While running an Inbody Expedition trip to Everest Base Camp in 2018 Elizabeth offered an optional class, Meditating through the Himalayas. The course was a huge success and numerous trekkers claimed their Himalayan experience would not have been the same without it. Expanding on the ecstatic response Jon and Elizabeth dreamed up a partnership, a Yoga Inbody Expedition. A trip that will not only take you to the place you have always wanted to visit, it will open your eyes to the beauty of life you have perhaps never seen.
Now is the time...join Jon and Elizabeth on this magical journey. Namaste.

IT IS TIME TO CROSS NEPAL OFF YOUR BUCKET-LIST
We understand the complexity of life. Let us help you get started...

YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO GO TO NEPAL
Even if you are not an experienced world traveler (or even ever been out of the country) there is a good chance you have heard about the magic of Nepal. There is a good reason that trekking in the Himalayas is on almost everyone's "bucket-list" for places to see in their lifetime. The secret to making this happen is accepting that THERE IS NEVER AN EASY TIME to getaway...but if you don't start today you may never go.
THERE IS NO WAY I CAN GET AWAY FROM...
Your kids, your husband, your work. You can take 2 weeks for yourself and cash in on some of that vacation time you have been dreaming about taking. Your kids will make it to school, your husband will figure out what to eat for dinner and your job will still be there when you get back. In fact people in your everyday life may even gain respect for you realizing all that you accomplish on a day to day basis is truly amazing -- absence does make the heart grow fonder.

I HAVE HEARD OTHER COUNTRIES ARE DIRTY
It is true that Nepal has different systems of sanitation than many places in the US. You may find piles of trash on the street in Kathmandu or unsanitary places to eat and sleep if you were not traveling with us. Luckily once we get out of the big city (Kathmandu) the countryside is much cleaner. With our team's decades of experience we ensure that all the places we eat and sleep are up to or exceed our "western expectations" (remembering that a key to success is keeping an open mind to the new situations and environments you are going to experience).
THERE IS NO WAY I CAN CARRY EVERYTHING I NEED
Luckily you don't have to. Trekking in Nepal involves employing the use of "porters." These strong individuals carry all of our overnight gear from lodge to lodge. This way we are free to carry only a small day pack with our water and other small personal day items.

I CAN'T GO THAT LONG WITHOUT SHOWERING & WHAT ABOUT GOING TO THE BATHROOM
While it is true that Nepal, like most Far-East countries, is home to the "squaty-poty" (a hole in the ground you squat over) almost every tea house we stay at has at least one if not more western style porcelain toilets for us to use. In addition most of the tea houses we stay at even have showers available for purchase (although the water may or may not be hot).
