Join Inbody Expeditions on a journey to what has been aptly named the "Sanctuary" of the Annapurna Region. This 11-day adventure gives you the opportunity to experience the best mountain views in the Himalayas without having to climb to extreme elevations to experience them.
Our 8 days on the trail start along the banks of the Modi Khola River. We will traverse along steep canyon walls and hike through lush forest vegetation we didn't think of when we first pictured trekking around the tallest mountains in the world. Occasional glimpses of the majestic Himalayas will remind us of the giants that lay just around the corner.
Finally we arrive to Annapurna Base Camp. Feelings of joy and happiness overcome us as we sit mesmerized by our 360 degree view. We descend back into the canyons we came from with gentle footsteps and a light heart, amazed at our accomplishment we never thought possible.
INBODY EXPEDITIONS DISCOVERING NEPAL
Jon first journeyed to Nepal in 2010 after graduating from college. Originally drawn to the country for its world famous mountains and rivers he quickly fell in love with the nation and its people. Through exploring Nepal on foot via the trails and on rafts via the rivers he solidified his belief that this place truly is one of the wonders of the world. Although he returned home to the US after the guiding season, Nepal and its people had left a deep impression with Jon...he knew one day he would return to this incredible place.
It took Jon six years to make it back to Nepal. Although he had been away from the country for a while the impact it left on him never diminished. The hospitality of the locals he observed while over there was ingrained into his personality and practiced everyday in his guiding profession. Although he was getting pulled in many directions in life Jon knew that it was time to go back.
In the spring of 2016 Jon retuned to Nepal with his fiance, Elizabeth, and a group of friends and family to show them the Annapurna Region he has explored 6 years ago. The experience the group had convinced Jon and Elizabeth that this is a place the world needs to discover for themselves.
Working directly with their Nepali business parter, Kumar, Jon and Elizabeth continued to explore the different regions of Nepal. After seeing many places throughout the country they have hand picked their favorite destinations. Using these destinations they have created some "off the beaten path" itineraries that minimizes exposure in some of the more crowded areas and providing a more authentic Nepali experience.

OUR ITINERARY

Our adventure begins early in Kathmandu. After a short flight overlooking the Himalayas we arrive in Pokhara. From here we taxi up to the town of Kande and the beginning of our trail. Breaking us in early we ascend to Australia Camp with breathtaking views of Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail) and the Annapurna range we will get to know well in the upcoming days...

Luckily you don't have to. Trekking in Nepal involves employing the use of "porters." These strong individuals carry all of our overnight gear from lodge to lodge. This way we are free to carry only a small day pack with our water and other small personal day items.
I HAVE NEVER TRAVELED OUT OF THE COUNTRY

We are here for you and will help the intimidating decisions (like what to pack) manageable.
